Research

I am working as a freelance computer scientist at Systemantics, Bureau for Informatics. My research work includes software development processes in design, information management and rule-based information presentation. My special areas of interest include object-oriented modeling, generation of software from models, software quality, and the pragmatic application of computer-supported collaborative work.

From 2005–2007, I was working as a research assistant and PhD student on tools for strategic information management in hospitals in Prof. Dr. Alfred Winter's project section Management of Information Systems in the Healthcare (MIG) at the Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology (IMISE) of the University of Leipzig.

Until 2006, I was a guest member of the CERES project of the Department for Medical Informatics at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany. During my active time in the CERES project from 2003–2005, I worked on the object-oriented database support for an information platform over hospitals.

I am a member of the German Society of Medical Informatics (GMDS). Within the GMDS, I am a member of the working group on Methods and Tools for the Management of Hospital Information Systems (mwmKIS).
